Film 26 – National Fengshan Senior High School, Taiwan – Respect Even If We Are Different

In our class, there is a student named Amy who often plays mobile games by herself, which has drawn the attention of other classmates, including Jessica. However, one of the students named Bob noticed this situation and thought it was not quite right. He decided to actively learn about the mobile game Amy was playing and put a stop to the malicious behavior of others. Eventually, many students in the class downloaded the game and happily played together with Amy. We want to use this story to persuade everyone to respect different groups and try to understand them.
Film 27 – Ormiston Beachcroft Academy, UK – A Trip Down the Thames

The film is a snapshot of a recent Beachcroft learners creative writing trip down the Thames. The film offers insight into the way the Thames can inspire hope, community, and care. The participants in the film, Isha, Krishna and Yaqub are all creative and imaginative learners who enjoy writing and performing poetry. Getting out of the classroom and onto the river was transformative. London’s historical landmarks came alive along the river. It was emancipatory travelling on water – we all become learners together – educators and learners alike, the film is short, but we hope it captures a sense of the potential and possibilities that lie in our young people’s voices – the elixir of expression.
Film 28 – National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan – The Old, The New, The Market

Dongmen Market has a history of over a hundred years. It is a market that combines traditional culture with modern features. Our story is about a Taiwanese girl who has moved to America. She was organizing her stuff and found the photo album of her grandpa. The picture of her grandpa with the Dongmun Market caught her eyes. She decided to go back to Taiwan to take a glance at the scene in Grandpa’s memory. The girl discovered the boom and bust of the Dongmun Market along the journey with her cousin’s introduction. Finally, bringing some unforgettable memories with her back to America. We hope to let the public know more about Hsinchu Dongmen Market and the importance of cultural reservation and recreation.

Family Bonds and Memories
The protagonist lived with their grandfather and made lanterns together from a young age. These beautiful memories were deeply etched in the protagonist’s heart. Even after experiencing war and the passage of many years, these memories remained and were rekindled once again.
Film 30 – Tainan Municipal Shanhua District Jiaba Preschool, Taiwan – Play Together

Jiaba Preschool is located in a super-aged community where many children live with their grandparents, helping them adapt to an aging society. The activity center across from the school is a long-term care facility that promotes interaction between generations. The curriculum uses games and a “time machine” to bring grandparents and grandchildren closer, enhancing family bonds. Children visit the long-term care facility, and elders come to the school, fostering mutual learning. Children learn to empathize with the needs of the elderly, creating a joyful co-learning environment.
