Film 13 – Evangelische Grundschule Halle, Germany – A Crazy Get-Together

The film, A Crazy Get-Together, deals with the topic of roots. Acted out in the form of a role play, the children of the evangelical primary school present their culture through typical figures from their country of origin. The children act as fairy tale characters, animals or mythical creatures. They ask each other where they come from and thus enter into a conversation about their characters and countries of origin. The film shows that although the children go to school together their roots can be complex and widespread. Nevertheless, there is always a sense of tolerance, acceptance, friendship and unity.

Film 14 – Europa School UK – GO ECOLO – From the roots to the sky

The film is about the roots of the Planet and the roots of the human cultures. All the lives have seeds and roots. The plants grow from the roots to the sky. The humans have roots from their family, country, language, school … and they try to understand each other with dance and music. They are part of the nature and they look at the sky and the universe. All plants and humans have force, joy and spirit from our planet Gaia.

Our team has chosen this topic about academic stress and mental wellness to raise awareness about our roles as family, friends, neighbours and even strangers, to be sensitive to the feelings of the people around us and to step up and help them when they need a shoulder to lean on.
