This summer programme was coordinated by Professor Vicky Macleroy and Asst Professor Yu-chiao Chung. It was organised by the Centre for Language, Culture and Learning, within the Department of Educational Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London. The programme was generously sponsored by the Resource Centre of English, Taiwan. The summer programme was designed in accordance with the eight guiding principles of language education in the Critical Connections project: interdisciplinary approaches, learner agency, social justice, multiple ways of learning, multiple sites of learning, communication, metalinguistic awareness, and transformative pedagogy.
Summer School Programme 2024
As an integral part of the summer school programme the Taiwanese Teachers of English produced digital stories that were exhibited at a film festival in the Curzon Cinema at Goldsmiths, University of London in August 2024. The theme of the film festival was ‘Journeys’.
