The young filmmakers have explored the theme of a ‘Journey or Quest’ in inventive, critical, and speculative ways. These films tell insightful multilingual stories about journeys or quests, and capture how children and young people are finding ways to seek novel paths and routes, form strong friendships, and look for peaceful resolutions. The festival shares the stories these young filmmakers have created about their cultures, histories, and global connections. There are 22 languages included across the 19 digital stories exhibited at the film festival. Lead educators have worked with young participants (4 – 18 years old) across 21 educational institutions (kindergarten, primary, secondary, community-based complementary, library) and 7 countries (Australia, India, Italy, Taiwan, UK, USA, Zimbabwe).

Philip works across both creative and technical roles in post-production, with core strengths in offline editing and post-production engineering, complemented by hands-on experience in colour grading, mastering, digital intermediate, and sound design. He brings a holistic understanding of the post-production pipeline, shaped by his experience as a Principal Expert at Avid Technology and as a freelancer on a wide range of creative projects, including music videos and feature documentaries. Outside of post-production, Philip is an experienced Latin jazz percussionist with a deep-rooted musical background. He has performed at some of London’s most iconic venues, including Ronnie Scott’s, the Jazz Café, and Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho, as well as internationally. This musical foundation strongly informs his editorial approach, particularly in his use of score and sound design to shape the emotional tone of a film. Philip holds technical certifications across Avid’s video solutions and a First-Class BA (Hons) in Editing and Post-Production from Ravensbourne University.
